A Letter from the Province Governor
Fraternal Greetings!
I hope each of you is ready for another year of fellowship and progress in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. It is my hope that our province will experience several kinds of growth this year. With work and participation, our annual events can be larger and offer more content than those in years past. With loyalty and dedication, the Chicago Area Alumni Association can flourish and enrich the lives of Sinfonians and non-Sinfonians alike. With nurturing support, a colony or two may even be established!
In the wake of the 2012 National Convention, we have a newly restructured National Constitution & Bylawswhich will add clarity to our business; a renewed American Music Challengeto quantify and reward our endeavors in American Music; and a new revision of Themes for Brotherhoodto enhance our fraternal education for all classes of membership. The new Lyrecrest Fundwas also unveiled at Convention, setting the stage for future renovations at our National Headquarters and home-away-from-home, Lyrecrest. Be sure to attend the Sinfonia Conference Call Seriesfor information on the goings-on of the national fraternity.
This is truly an exciting time to be a Sinfonian. More important than any new resource or initiative is the sense that Sinfonia has been fully restored to reflect its original purpose and is ready to move forward in ways that did not seem possible only a few years ago. Brothers, remember that Sinfonia's progress depends greatly on the work of the individual membership. As you return to your campuses to begin classes or continue to work in your respective fields, keep close your ties to your brothers and be ready to act when Sinfonia calls!
Fraternally yours in Phi Mu Alpha,
Paul Lattan

A Letter from the Collegiate Province Representative
Greetings brothers and welcome to another great school year! My name is Jason Lederman and I am your Collegiate Province Representative. I’m a Radio/Television/Film major and Sound Design minor at Northwestern. I play sousaphone in our marching band and sing in an a cappella group. Within the Iota chapter I’ve been the Recruitment Director and Province Council Representative, and will serve this year as the Risk Manager.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the CPR position. The goal of this position, originally known as “Province Student Liaison Officer,” is still the same as it was 30 years ago. I am here to serve your needs and to be the liaison between you and the national leadership. Additionally, I am a resource for you to learn more about the history and mission of the fraternity. During this year, I hope to visit each of your chapters at least once and hold a fireside chat to discuss these topics. Remember, fraternity education does not stop once you complete your probationary membership; much like your membership in this organization, it will continue forever. On that note, my final goal of this year is to begin the process of streamlining the Probation Member education process between chapters – now is the opportune time to do this, because of 1) the new PM education book announced at National Convention and 2) a Province Governor and Deputy Province Governor who know much about our ritual and will be in Province 37 for the foreseeable future.
You can always reach me by email at cpr37@sinfonia.org. I encourage each of you to reach out to me, whether for a fraternity matter or if you just need to talk. It is my duty to be here for you as your brother and friend. I can’t wait to meet each of you! OAS, AAS, LLS!
In Phi, Mu, and Alpha,
Jason S. Lederman
Collegiate Province Representative, Province 37
Province 37 reaches goal - 100% On Time Reporting!!

Province 37 website now online!
After brief discussions with Aaron and Justin, I've decided that we should implement a new Drupal-based site. Not much of that is important, but just know that we will now have easy access to communicate both by writing on the site and in forums! Register for your account today, and enjoy!
