Welcome to Phi Mu Alpha Province 37!
TJ Cox Appointed as New Province 37 Governor
Greetings Province 37,
Over the past few years we have accomplished so many wonderful things together. 100% on time personnel reporting, much improvement in initiation reporting, probationary membership documentation, and an upturn in general chapter operations. It has been my sincere pleasure to serve Phi Mu Alpha and you as your province governor. There have countless good times and inspirational moments that will be with me for the rest of my life. There are times that were hard for all of us on this journey, but the spirit of Brotherhood truly runs deep within Province 37 and we have always made it through. As Province 37 moves forward always remember that as Sinfonians, we are called to develop a foundation with one another of Truth and Brotherhood, for it is with that foundation that the work of Sinfonians can be fully realized. We achieve this by working together in a truly social environment, and guided by the principles of music and harmony. As Supreme President Ossian E. Mills stated on March 1, 1905:
“… Brothers, let us remember that harmony is ever to be the noble aim of our beloved Society – harmony not only in music, but in the life within the Fraternity and in the broader and fuller life beyond its portals. It is harmony whose music is felt in the hearty hand-clasp, heard in cheerful greeting, seen in living notes in the generous act.”
It is with these thoughts I am resigning as Governor of Province 37. I have accepted a new job and relocated to Columbus, Ohio. I am confidant that Province 37 will be in good hands and that our good work will continue. I am still an active Phi Mu Alpha alumnus and hope to see all of you in the future, maybe at National Convention in Orlando, FL! Keep in touch, and if you are ever in the Columbus, Ohio area reach out and say hello. So for now farewell my Brothers, I wish you all the best! As I part for a time, I leave you with this quote from author Mary Anne Radmacher that has been speaking to me lately.
“Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.”
I am very pleased to announce that TJ Cox initiated at Delta Tau Chapter at Oklahoma State has been appointed to the Position of Province 37 Governor. Brother Cox is no stranger to Province 37 as President of the Chicago Area Alumni Association he was among the leaders instrumental in getting the association and the province so involved with each other. I have all the faith in the world that Brother Cox will be an outstanding Governor and take Province 37 to new heights.
Fraternally,
Aaron
Brothers of Province 37,
It is with great excitement that I have been appointed and accepted the position as your Province Governor. I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet and work with many of you already in my previous role as President of the Chicago Area Alumni Association and I am looking forward to continuing those relationships in this new role. Ever since I have moved to the Chicago area from Oklahoma, the brothers of Province 37 have been nothing short of welcoming and very open to my involvement within the province.
Aaron and Justin have done countless wonderful things for this province. I personally would like to thank both of them for their impeccable service to the fraternity on a provincial and national level. It is an honor to follow in their footsteps. Their work and level of dedication for the fraternity is what we should all strive for.
As with any change in leadership there will be a transition period. Fortunately, since I have been involved on a province level for some time now, I feel that this period will be short lived. Please feel free to reach out to me for anything. Email, phone, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are all great tools for communication. I use all of those and check them regularly. I can't reiterate enough, please feel free to contact me about anything.
I am very excited about this great opportunity to continue my service to the Fraternity. I will strive to be the best Province Governor that I can be, as I expect you all to be the best Sinfonians that you can be. I look forward to seeing many of you at Spring Fling in April if not before then.
In Phi, Mu, and Alpha,
TJ Cox

Province Workshop 2011
Dear Province 37,
I hope this new year has brought you peace and joy. It is about that time to start the ball rolling on Province Workshop plans. The PG, DPG and I have an exciting workshop planned! The event will be held at Bradley University in Peoria Illinois on February 4th-6th. At the workshop we will be mainly focusing on learning musical repertoire to bring back to your chapters. We will also have a brief discussion on the Mills Music Mission and Sinfonian Significant others. The event will conclude with the initiation of 4 brothers into our brotherhood.
During this event we will be having a Province Council meeting. The council is made up of the CPR as chairman and the president and PCR from each chapter. I am asking that if anyone has business or ideas for what they would like the council to do for the next year, please send me a message.
At each province workshop we also vote for next year’s leadership team (CPRs and ACPRs). Remember that each chapter is required by the P37 bylaws to bring two representatives (one president and one PCR) and each chapter is afforded up to five delegates to vote for next year’s leadership team. Please let me know if you are interested for running for any of these positions. If you have an questions on the requirements and job descriptions feel free to ask me or consult your governing documents. It would also be a good idea to send an email through the province list serv letting the active brothers in the province know who you are and what you want to do in office.
In the next week the province leadership team, Delta Nu, and I will be finalizing the itinerary and sending it out. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, Delta Nu has a limited number of rooms available so make sure you contact them as soon as you know how many brothers from your chapter will be attending. This event is open to all Sinfonians (Probationaries, Collegiates and Alumni) and I would love to see as many brothers as possible!
So let it be for Sinfonia ,
Sean DelGrosso

Province 37 reaches goal - 100% On Time Reporting!!
Province 37 reached our goal of 100% On Time Reporting!! All nine chapters completed and turned in their chapter reports in ON TIME! Way to go Province 37!!
Province 37 website now online!
After brief discussions with Aaron and Justin, I've decided that we should implement a new Drupal-based site. Not much of that is important, but just know that we will now have easy access to communicate both by writing on the site and in forums! Register for your account today, and enjoy!
